A Little History About Steampunk Lamps/Switches

Before the invention of the electric light bulb, steam and natural gas were
king! Steam was the primary source of power that ran the machinery of the
Industrial Revolution and natural gas lit homes and businesses. Once the
electric light bulb came to be the generation, electricity became common place,
and the need for lighting devices of all types become apparent, however, the
lack of remade lamp parts became a major issue because there were no formal
lamp parts being manufactured at the time. When the lack of lamp parts door
opened, in came the creative ideas and innovations. What they were able to do
was take already existing steam and gas pipes and convert them to accommodate
electricity. In went the light bulbs, gas pipes, steam pipes, wires, switches
and with some creative thinking, out came steampunk lamps.

ELECTRICIAN, OUR STEAMPUNK STOP VALVE LIGHT SWITCH WILL LAST YOU A LIFETIME.
ALL SWITCHES ARE TESTED WHEN THEY ARE MADE AND BEFORE THEY ARE SENT OUT. AND
YES THESE SWITCHES ARE HAND-MADE IN THE USA.

THE SWITCH CYCLES THROUGH ON/OFF IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION EACH QUARTER TURN.
