This listing is for a 5" chrome single seam ripper in Exhibition Grade curly
Hawaiian Koa wood body.
Curly Hawaiian Koa is famous for its burl and swirly grain patterns with a
wavy figure throughout the wood. Curly Koa is found in only 1% of Koa trees as
the wood grain is generally straight. The highest grades of wood are determined
by the amount of curl that decorates the surface which is why Curly Koa’s high
value is known worldwide.
The seam ripper is opened by pulling one end of the reversible blade straight
out, and inserting the nub end back into the handle. Caution should be taken
because the seam ripper has an extremely sharp end. Never press the end in by
the point, always insert into the handle by the base of the tool.
Our seam rippers fit snugly into the handle without having to use rubber
bushings that need to be frequently replaced.
